After high school, I plan on either studying food science, culinary arts, or pastry arts. If I choose to study food science, I most likely will go to UBC. Their program will take me more than 3 years to complete, if I chooses to take it.
As for culinary arts and pastry arts, if I chooses to go that route, I would most likely spend a year studying at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) taking the 6 month culinary arts program and the 6 month pastry arts program.
I also have other plans if I don't go to university or collage. I might possible travel to many popular food destinations such as France, Italy, and parts of the US.
Overall, I think that I have a good plan for my future.
It's good that you have a stable understanding of what you want to do. I think one thing I can suggest is to have a back up plan just incase you don't end up liking the program or school. I also think having a back up plan would help you have a better understanding of what you would really like to become. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI like where you wrote that you want to go into culinary arts. What you want to be is different than others because not many have chosen to go into culinary arts. It is fascinating how you know how long it will take for each job. I have no idea how long it will take for me to become what I want to be. Good job!
